When I moved to Southern California, I noticed that so many people here were both carefree and glamourous – all at once. By Hollywood standards, there were certainly many who were alluring and provocative ... but the most beautiful seemed to have a natural essence – no matter their age. Like they were just kissed by the dewy morning sun. As an actress and media personality, I wanted to find a way to get this sun-kissed look everyday. So, for my face and hair I started experimenting with makeup, creams, and oils to see if I could replicate the image everyday, using the most natural products I could find.
I invented a glow that I would use under my makeup and moisturizers. This helped me to look youthful, healthy, carefree, glamorous, and optimistic. Being the first and only company focusing on the iconic California look, I’ve packaged up this glow for you in the first line of products in the California Sunshine Cosmetics line – Base Glow. Future products will complete a unique California Sunshine image, including iconic color makeup for both carefree days and glamour nights.
Also, since I have been an ocean conservationist for many years now, I think it is only right that CA|Sun promote sustainable seafood and protecting of our oceans. This company supports many ocean organizations, including the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch.
